What is a Logo?
A representation of your name or something that makes you memorable to the world.
How does Logo work?
It has different sizes in different media.
Why do we need Logo?
For immediate and memorable connection and ientification of something.
Graphic Solution of a logo takes a lot of time to put together, text solution on the other hand don’t.
Do you need a logo?
Reinforce the differences you have from people. Make people remember ‘YOU’.
How to do it?
-> Hire a professional graphic designer.
Anatomy of a Logo:
It has two parts:
- Text Solution
- Graphic Solution
*No need to worry about the graphic solution of the logo, but develop a text solution.
Where to Start?
- Start with the name you want to represent ‘YOU’. (stick to it)
- Typography: what typeface are you?
- Where to find type online?
4. Choose typeface for your logo, yu don’t need to use for everything! For everything else, choose a second font.
Horizontal Rectangle (mostly used)
Simple (black, white and grey)
Support Color (if any)
choose one color for accent (like the dot of the ‘i’, just for spots, some conceptual explanation for it)
7. File formats:
Design Logo in Illustrator
Make a master file with an outline of it
For print, . AL, .EPS
picture should compliment the typeface
have a forward thinking and progressive style, that should reflect in your work/logo
sans serifed fonts
